⁘ what it's for

For the mornings the body takes a while to start.

HempExplained hemp-derived balm on a garden workbench beside gloves and pruning shears

You earned the body. The garden, the grandkids, the years of getting up before everyone else. The cost shows up in the same places every morning.

The knee that remembers

The one that announces itself on the first stair down. The one that asks for a minute before the second mile.

The shoulder that lingers

The way the rake felt fine on Saturday and Sunday is a different story. The way reaching for the top shelf takes a small breath in.

The hands that worked

The mug is a little warmer than it used to be. The morning takes a few extra minutes. None of it is a complaint.

The night that's lighter

The way sleep arrives quicker when you're not fighting the way the day landed in the lower back.

This is what the balm and the cream are for. Not a cure, not a shortcut. Just a calm thing to reach for, applied where it's needed, made of what you'd expect.

The Balm.

For the slow morning and the long afternoon.

Ingredient label
Cera Alba (Beeswax) · Isopropyl Palmitate · Cetyl Alcohol · Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter · Menthol · Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride · Broad Spectrum Hemp Aerial Parts Extract · Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil · Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil · Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil.

Twist the jar, take a thumbprint, work it into the knee or the shoulder. The beeswax and shea butter give it hold, while menthol does most of the felt work. Lemon peel and bergamot keep the scent clean.

"Shortly after applying the topical to my sore hip the pain was gone! My wife also reported inflammation and pain relief on her knees after application of the topical cream. The pain relief lasts from 1 - 2 hours or long enough for us to get a restful sleep."

⁘ the questions we get

What people ask before ordering.

Will this make me feel high?
No. Both the balm and the cream are hemp-derived, broad-spectrum topicals made for external use and formulated without intoxicating cannabinoids. Each batch is third-party tested, and you can match the lot number on the bottom of your jar to its lab report.
Will it show up on a drug test?
These hemp-derived, broad-spectrum topicals are not expected to show up on a standard drug test when used as directed. If testing is required for work, review the current lab report and confirm any requirements with your employer or testing administrator.
Can I use this with my other medications?
For most people, yes. Hemp-derived compounds can interact with how the liver processes certain prescription drugs — blood thinners, some seizure medications, and a few statins are the usual cautions. The right person to ask is your prescribing doctor or pharmacist. Bring the label, it has everything they need.
How much do I use, and how often?
A thumbprint of the balm, or one full pump of the cream, applied where it's needed and rubbed in for thirty seconds. Two to three times a day is normal. There is no "loading dose" — the topical works where you put it, not systemically.
Where can I apply it?
Anywhere on the skin except broken skin, the face, and mucous membranes. Knees, shoulders, lower back, hands, neck, calves, and forearms are the most common spots people tell us about.
Balm or cream — which one?
The balm is for a single spot you can put your finger on (a knee, a shoulder, a wrist). The cream is for a larger area or for daily use on the hands and forearms. Many people keep one of each: balm in the bedside drawer, cream by the kitchen sink.
